CHAPELIERS Chambres d'hotesLE PETIT CHAPEAU Gite
The only Bed and Breakfast in the old town of Foix, built on the site of the earliest settlements, at the foot of the castle, in the shelter of its rock.
La seule Maison d'hotes dans la vieille ville de Foix, au pied du Chateau, tranquille et acueillante.
A pretty house in a quiet mountain
village.  A nature lovers paradise!
Below is the view across the valley in Autumn.

Une jolie maison en pleine nature.
We are your hosts, Kim and Mike Grayson, an English couple who, after working hard for a total of 55 years to pay the mortgage and afford many European holidays, discovered the most beautiful spot in Europe.  We settled in Foix six and a half years ago.  Our backgrounds are cultural:  Kim is a Potter and Linguist and Mike is an Arts Administrator with a great deal of experience in running large venues.  We speak French and Kim also speaks German.
Nous sommes un couple anglais et habitons a Foix depuis 2002.  Nous parlons francais et Kim parle allemand.

'Chapeliers' is our two roomed Chambres d'hotes (B&B) in an 18th century mansion which stands at the foot of the Château de Foix in the heart of the medieval centre of the departmental capital of the Ariège, in the Midi-Pyrénées.  We have secure private parking and a relaxing garden for our guests to use.  NEW!  We are now running residential pottery courses.  Contact us for more details or click on the button on the left.

'Le Petit Chapeau' is our four person Gîte (holiday home), 12 kilometres from Foix in the tranquil mountain village of Sahuc.  This is beautiful relaxing walking and cycling country. We offer Le Petit Chapeau for weekly rentals in the Spring, summer and Autumn and for a much cheaper monthly amount during winter months - ideal for those looking for property in the Midi Pyrenees!

If you are planning a holiday in this prettiest part of the Ariege, please bear in mind that, according to our statistics, holidaymakers start booking for the Spring and Summer months as early as February, leaving us unable to accept last minute bookings in the height of the season.

You will find more information and photos by clicking on the buttons on the left.  If you would like to reserve a room or to book the gite or to book a pottery course, please call us on 0033 (0)5 34 09 05 48 and speak to Kim or Mike Grayson or e-mail us at: info@chapeliers.com (if you are writing from freeserve/orange/wanadoo address, please send to kimandmike@wanadoo.fr )
